Hey all!
The second half of the 15th season of south park starts tomorrow..So far honestly, this 15th season has really sucked. I'm hoping it'll get more funny or at least interesting lol..Any thoughts?
i liked southpark up until the end of season 10.

TimeKeeper..that's interesting that you say that after season ten it started to suck for you..I've loved it from the start it's been awesome! Of course there are some episodes I don't like but that goes for any show..
I could never get into South Park. I've nothing against swearing but all te swearing in that show just got on my nerves. It didn't offend me it just seemed like they felt like they had to do it in order to be funny. Granted I did find the movie rather amusing but I could never get into the show. And the sexual relationship between Satan and Saddam Hussein was pretty funny. It was either Hussein or Osama Bin Laden, I forget which.
It got much worse once they stopped censoring it on TV. I understand the DVDs aren't censored, but it seemed the language got way worse after the tv censorship stopped. I'm all for uncensorring, but don't use it asan excuse to be completely immature. I too enjoyed the show for the first decade or so. Some episoes after that were pretty good too, but I found overall it got a little too over-the-top....well okay, I guess it's always been like that. But something eventually changed, even though I can't put my finger on it.
Oh my god they killed Kenny! You bastards! LOL. Althogh I will admit I loved the chocolate salty balls Christmas song.
I love the woodland creatures episode. hahaha
they killed off cheff, who was a big part since the start...all in all I'll continue to watch
I only liked the Seasons 1 to 5 where Kenny was in it. I liked Kenny and to see him die was really sad. Since then I never watched another Season. Plus, In Australia they stopped Airing it on Free to air TV and put it on Pay TV. (you guys call it Cables I think)

Anyway, I was hopelessly addicted to SP when it first came out. "yeah I want Cheesy poofs!"
After a few seasons though I got bored with it.
I was on-again off-again with South Park.
But interesting comment. The hardest thing with any series is to keep it going, but not turn it into just a repetitive saga.
I think the series Friends was unique that way, because it was generational. People in their 20s during the 1990s could relate on many levels to that show, personally. Either you were one of those people, worked with people like that, or otherwise knew people like that. A lot of sit-coms or other series really struggle that way I think.
I love SouthPark. My BF and I watch it as a means to keep from going insane due to the mundaneness of actual life. lol. Ironic, no?
Anyways, yes, this season has sort of sucked for the most part, but last season had a few really good episodes; I found the shake weight episode to be hilarious. But some episodes, like the queef and fart one for example, have been pointless and sort of stupid. But hey. Ya gotta give props to two guys who've come up with pretty much everything under the sun for the show; Fifteen years worth of outrageousness. I'm sure they're bound to run out of ideas sometimes. I'm wondering if they're going to do a whitney houston episode, since they did an MJ episode after he died. lol.
Oh I think your watching it to escape the mundane of life is very valid and normal. I watch a lot of things for just that reason. Life in the machine is not really life at all: well, biologically speaking it is, of course, but it is subsistance. These types of escapes make said subsistance bearable.
Kenny has been back on the show since Season 7. They just kind of randomly put him back on the show. I've been a big South Park fan for a long time. The first half of Season 16, which just finished airing a few weeks ago, was overall pretty disappointing. But I loved the one where they narrated the whole episode in the style of those I Shouldn't Be Alive shows. Did anyone see that one? It was awesome. They really went back to their roots, which I think was sorely lacking from recent episodes.

Yeah use to think South Park was funny, but now seems boring.
Yeah, they're definitely not up to their usual standards. I can only hope that once the new episodes start up in October, they're gonna be a lot better. I'll never give up on it though, no matter how sucky the episodes are.
So how about some favorite episodes? Some of mine are Clubhouses, Cartman Gets an Anal Probe, Crippled Summer, and Cat Orgy.

I could never get into South Park. I was always more of a Beavis and Butthead fan, not the least because of the Great Cornholio..

I guess I'm the opposite. I never could get into Beavis and Butthead that much. The movie was hilarious, but when it came to watching the show, I got bored with it pretty fast.
So, is anyone watching the new season of South Park? It's been seriously hit or miss this time around. And the misses have been fatal. Lol, I just am having trouble getting behind some of the ridiculous crap they're putting out at this point.
